Growing up in Tacoma Washington, I was introduced to glassblowing at a young age in an elective class at Wilson High School. After graduation I received an internship for the summer at the Museum of Glass. Just about the same time I finished my internship Tacoma Glassblowing Studio was opening their doors. This is where I have been lucky to be a part of a team with incredibly talented artists.
Fishing, going on backpacking trips along the coast, hiking in high alpine forests. This is where I go to get away from the concrete jungle. Living in the City of Destiny glass and glassblowing was all around me. Being able to live in such a mecca its hard to not be inspired by other artists. Being able to see great maestros come to work in my hometown at the Museum. The coordination it takes to create these glass pieces can only come from teamwork that takes years to achieve.
